Prairie Vista Village’s Makenzie Moburg-Appleton is the President Elect for the Altoona Chamber of Commerce
ALTOONA, Iowa — Makenzie Moburg-Appleton, the director of marketing at Prairie Vista Village, was recently chosen as president-elect for the Altoona Chamber of Commerce. Currently, she serves the chamber as secretary.
After serving the chamber for almost three years, Makenzie now has an even greater opportunity to serve and support the Altoona community. The president of the chamber has a long list of responsibilities like serving as the chairman of the executive committee, presenting the chamber program to its members and the general public, seeking ways to make the chamber more effective and better able to serve the needs of the membership, and more.
“I am honored to be chosen as the president-elect for the Altoona Chamber of Commerce. I will do my best to make the right decisions for the Altoona citizens, businesses, and organizations.” says Makenzie. “I love being a part of this rapidly growing community.”
Tim Jordison, the executive director at Prairie Vista Village, is excited for the new opportunities Makenzie will experience. “Makenzie organizes and facilitate fantastic events and causes for our community, and I can’t wait to see her do the same for Altoona.”
On January 1, 2020, Makenzie will officially become the president-elect for one year. In 2021, she will become the chamber president.
